Springfield Masonic Community has an opportunity in our Assisted Living for a Resident Assistant.  This position is full time 7a-3p.

 

SUMMARY: To provide for the physical and emotional well being of Springfield Masonic Community residents and to document same in accordance with Ohio state law and nursing home and residential care standards.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Observes and records resident condition information.
  • Communicates with residents and other staff
  • Maintains resident room
  • Maintains safe resident room environment
  • Maintains proper infection control technique
  • Assists with meal set up and or meal programs.
  • Complies with all aspects of Resident Rights
  • Attends in-services and meetings as required
  • Assist resident’s with Activities of Daily Living

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school education preferred; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SPRINGFIELD MASONIC COMMUNITY has an opportunity for a full time Manager of Health Information Management.

 

SUMMARY:

Responsible for organizing and supervising the Health Information Management Department in accordance with State and Federal regulations and medical record professional practice standards.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

1.       Maintains records in an organized and accessible manner.

2.       Maintains records in a safe and secure location that is free from destruction.

3.       Monitors confidentiality and release of information to others.

4.       Maintains PPS Billing log; initiate and completes input into HealthMedex.

5.       Reviews, audits and assist in education for staff members about documentation standards.

6.       Monitors health information by performing quarterly, discharge, admission and readmission audits.

7.       Monitors schedule for thinning records.

8.       Maintains admission and discharge registers and the master patient index.

9.       Develops and revises forms as needed.

10.   Maintains and monitors a correspondence log.

11.   Assists physicians with locating records and notifying them of incomplete records.

12.   Attends in-services and educational seminars that relate to profession.

13.   Provides ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM codes for MDS 3.0 documents.

14.   Monitors and updates diagnoses.

15.   Assists with interviewing and hiring employees for the department.

16.   Notifies other staff members of incomplete records.

17.   Attends Policy and Procedure, Form, and Quality Assurance meetings.

18.   Monitors schedule for filing on nursing units

19. Adheres to all policies and procedures of the organization and all federal and state laws regarding the privacy of protected health information.

19.   Responsible for copying records for families, coroner and others as needed.

20.   Functions as the HIPAA Privacy Officer.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associate  Degree (A.D.) or equivalent from 2-year College or technical school; plus one to two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

RHIT - Registered Health Information Technician (formerly known as Accredited Record Technician) or Registered Record Administrator

Cook

Springfield Masonic Community is currently seeking a full time Cook in our Lindner Community Center dinning area.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

 
  • Prepares bulk foods for cooking
  • Cooks food on commercial kitchen equipment, using such cooking processes as baking, frying, sauté, boiling and grilling using standardized recipes.
  • Assist with and prepare caterings items on a regular basis
  • Determines quantity of food items to prepare by following production sheets and menus.
  • Regular cleaning of production area and kitchen equipment.
  • Ensures that temperatures, appearance, portion control and quality in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
