Pastoral Care

chaplains

Each person has a spiritual life story. Our Pastoral Care program seeks to hear these sacred stories and offer residents, families, and staff spiritual and emotional support.

Upon admission, residents are given an introduction to the pastoral care services offered on our campus. Please feel free as a resident, family member, care giver, or staff member to contact pastoral care:

  • to speak in confidence about decisions you may face
  • to request prayer
  • to receive Holy Communion or Baptism
  • during end-of-life care
  • for opportunities for worship and Bible study
  • to receive devotional materials
  • to help with a memorial service, funeral, or wedding

Chaplains on campus officiate at memorial services or funerals, for residents and staff. These may be held either at Wooley Chapel here or at a local funeral home. You may choose to pre-plan your burial arrangements with Pastoral Care and with a funeral home. If you are a qualifying Mason, you may choose to be buried in the Masonic Home cemetery.

Ecumenical worship services are offered Sundays at 10 AM in Burkhart Auditorium.

Bible study is offered Tuesdays at 9:25 AM in the Hillman Manor 4th floor dining area, Tuesdays at 10:05 AM in the Scottish Rite 4th floor dining area; Wednesdays at 10:00 AM at the Cunningham Social Room;  Thursdays at 10:10 AM in Pathways; and Thursdays at 9:30 AM in Bancroft Manor 3rd floor common area.
